Leonardo Hotels celebrates a huge success as David Fattal secures a Grand Prix Award in Paris

Berlin/Frankfurt am Main, 18 December 2024. Leonardo Hotels are marking a truly outstanding achievement. David Fattal, the founder and CEO of the Fattal Hotel Group, received a prestigious Grand Prix Award in the category of Hotelier of the Year 2024 at a special ceremony staged in Paris. This accolade pays tribute both to his impressive career and leadership ability and to the rapid expansion of the Fattal Group and its Leonardo Hotels brand into one of Europe’s most successful hotel chains.

The prize ceremony took place as part of the programme of events at the 24th Hospitality Awards on 28 November 2024 in Paris, which was organised by MKG Consulting. The Grand Prix Award was presented by Marina Ferrari, the French Minister of Tourism, and MKG’s President Vanguelis Panayotis.

Speaking at the ceremony, David Fattal said: “This award is not merely a personal honour for me. It is also evidence of the remarkable worldwide successes of Fattal and Leonardo Hotels and recognises the commitment, professionalism and passion shown by every single team member within our group. Our teams lie at the very heart of our success and are the reason why Leonardo Hotels are a leading brand in today’s international hotel sector.”

The Leonardo Hotels Brand forms part of the Fattal Hotel Group. It represents high-quality hospitality in urban centres and attractive travel destinations. It has been one of Europe’s fastest growing hotel chains since opening its first establishment in 2006. Having previously placed its main focus on business travellers, the company has also been expanding its operations in the leisure travel sector since 2022. The five brands operated by the hotel group – Leonardo Hotels, Leonardo Royal, Leonardo Boutique, the lifestyle brand NYX Hotels by Leonardo Hotels and Leonardo Limited Edition – mesh perfectly with the multifarious needs of its guests.

David Fattal began his career in the hotel business over 30 years ago. After graduating in Hotel Management at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, he took on a number of leadership positions at international hotel chains such as Hilton and Holiday Inn. He founded the Fattal Group in Israel in 1998, starting out with only two hotels. The group has since developed into a global market force thanks to David Fattal’s visionary guidance. The portfolio of the Fattal Hotel Group currently encompasses almost 300 hotels across more than 20 countries, including in some of the most significant markets in Europe and the Mediterranean region.
